Operational Result

Recovinyl is present on the market since June 2003. As far as we are active in more and more countries, registering increasing quantities of post-consumer PVC, we would like to present our operational results starting from 2005 and some forecasts for the nearest future.

The operational results published here start in 2005 as far as 2003 and 2004 was a testing phase. It was a process full of long debates and complicated consultations of other recycling systems. Full implementation of our concept within the PVC recycling sector in particular countries took us almost one and a half year.

At the beginning of our activity we concentrated our efforts on registration of only rigid PVC applications. In 2006 we have started also collection of flexible PVC like cables, flooring and roofing materials. The growing evolution in registration of rigid and flexible material is represented by the chart underneath. For comparison the total collected volume of post-consumer PVC material has been provided as well.

To achieve this volume in 2007 of collected and recycled PVC materials there must have been 8700 lines of waste input entered in the system of Recovinyl. This goal has been reached thanks to the daily input of the collected volume by the acredited recyclers in our web database.

We would also like to present the relation between the required investments we needed to incur in order to collect the achieved volume of post-consumer PVC materials.

We expect further expansion of our project. We plan to develop our activities not only within already existing markets but also to extend our actions towards new regions like Central Europe, Sweden and Austria. We are looking forward to meeting new potential partners showing interest in our programme and willing to join the efforts in registration of end-of-life PVC materials.
